Enquiries and their purpose
If you email us, we receive your email address, name and any contact, business or other information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, understand your requirements, assess whether we can help and manage any resulting business relationship. Please send only information relevant to your enquiry.
For ordinary business enquiries, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding and conducting our business. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you personally, the basis is taking those steps at your request. Legal obligations may require related records to be kept.
Service providers and international transfers
Enquiry email is handled through Google Workspace; this website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. Information may be processed outside the UK. Google's published transfer arrangements cover relevant US transfers through the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Its processing terms provide contractual safeguards where applicable, including Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum. OpenAI's UK privacy policy describes adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum. The applicable arrangements depend on the processing and destination. How long information is kept
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, any resulting work and applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. Relevance to ongoing communications, the nature of any work and legal obligations determine when information should be deleted.
Website technology
Our website code contains no enquiry form, advertising scripts or added analytics code. The email link opens your email application. ChatGPT Sites records visitor and page-view metrics. OpenAI's cookie notice lists a 90-day analytics cookie, __Host-appgarden-visitor, for .chatgpt.site domains. This is the provider's published description, not a verified inventory of cookies set during your visit.
Your right to object
You can object at any time to our use of your personal information based on legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your circumstances. Email david@williamsandfletcher.co.uk. We will stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or need the information for legal claims.
Your other rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information. Contact David using the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. This website does not make automated decisions about you.
